Not just doughnuts

You may be looking at this photo thinking Jennifer has gone overboard on desserts of late (not an unsafe assumption if you know me at all).

Nonetheless, we figured it's time to come right out with the truth and tell you we are half-way to being a family of four! Baby #2 should be joining us toward the end of February (due on the 27th, but who knows?). The 20-week ultrasound gave us a great profile shot (head on the left with a wee fist near baby's mouth), so for those of you who, like Ellie, want to "SEE!!!!", here you go:

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That's incredible news! Except ... this means that travel to hawaii anytime in the next few years is probably out. Hmm.. I guess I should just start looking at fares to Europe.

Thanks, girls!

Gail, you have no idea how often we long for Maui. It's just a tad far these days, though Markus is sure we could remedy that by moving there so I could teach and he could surf and be a dad full-time. :)

Karly, thanks as always for the mom support! :)

Well Congrats again. Although I am wondering... as if the citizenship issues weren't complicated enough, what's going to happen with this baby? Hmm.... i mean there's the whole american thing, and the german thing and now the netherlands thing... Wow!

But none the less, I'm very excited for BK #2. Yea for Ellie. She's going to be awesome big sister. Yea!

P.S. Not that I have a vote, but if I did, I would vote for Markus to take the surfer/full time dad role.

And Gail, Jennifer and Maria could be the most awesomest teachers in Hawaii.

Then Ellie could play with Tsebay and Kozit. It could be a wonderful thing.

And of course you all would blog about it since I have an irrational fear about going to Hawaii.

I'm just saying..... ;)
