Today, we have gone from cold grey to drizzle to wintry mix of snow, sleet and hail (which was better than drizzle, in my opinion)...and now SNOW. Beautiful soft white snow. I am so happy!

Not that this has to do anywthing with snow, but since you are reading Montessori at Home, does that mean Miss Eleanor might be schooled at the hizzie? Azure
No, no home schooling planned. I really like the Montessori philosophy for toddlers, and I wanted to learn more about what I can do for Ellie now. Parenting a toddler keeps us so caught up in the day to day that the book takes my sight to the bigger picture. Although I don't agree with everything, some of the ideas are really good and worth implementing. Her biggest accomplishment (taken from the book) is drinking on her own from a glass (we had been giving her a lidded plastic cup with a straw) after only one day of practicing. She learns so quickly, it's amazing! You should have seen her proud smile.
